Writing a book is really hard work. Anyone who promises you that it can be simple, easy, or fast is not telling you the whole truth. Sure, anyone can crank out a book — but not the kind of book you want to write or the kind of book anyone wants to read. (Why would we help people write books that no one wants to read? That’s heartbreaking for you, embarrassing for us, and disappointing for your readers.)
At Author Accelerator, we know that you have been dreaming about your book for a long time, so we have no plans to rush the process.
Our mission: to help you produce a solid rough draft in 6 months. That may not sound glamorous and sexy, but if you're reading this, my guess is you're tired of the empty promises, the "write as fast as you can" programs, and the opportunities to sit in a room and workshop with a famous author — all of which has gotten you exactly nowhere.
THIS IS GOING TO BE DIFFERENT.
We give you professional and consistent feedback, unwavering support, and a clear path to get you from idea to rough draft. Along the way, we shut down doubt and boost confidence — so that this time, you actually finish your book and this time you can be proud of what you have written.
DON’T BE DEFINED BY THE BOOK YOU WISH YOU’D WRITTEN.

Accomplished More in One Month...
"I have accomplished more in one month of doing Author Accelerator program than I have in nearly a decade of taking workshops, writing classes and participating in writer's groups in an effort to get my book on the page. I FINALLY feel like I'm on the right track and it feels AMAZING!"
Reclaimed My Story, Achieved Clarity
I have been working on this story in one form or another since 2008. There were several moments I really wanted to throw it out. This process and your feedback allowed me reclaim to my story, achieve clarity, and accomplish more in the last 4 months than I managed on my own in the last 5 years.
Best Thing I've Done
Your program is the best thing I've done for myself and my book! It means the world to me that there are people other than me who care if I write this book. Thank you for that!
The first phase of Author Accelerator lasts 5 to 7 weeks and is designed to help you develop and define your book on all levels. Focusing on these elements ahead of time will help you fight the anxiety of starting a big project, and will give us an overview of your goals and motivations, your story or argument, your creative vision, and your understanding of who might read your book once it's released into the world. How you START your project can mean the difference between success and failure — so start the right way.
The second phase of Author Accelerator keeps you on track so you can complete a rough draft of your book. Whether you are starting from scratch or trying to finish a draft, we will hold you accountable to getting to the end. Turn in 10 pages each week and your personal editor will send you their feedback and support by email within 72 hours.
Once you complete your rough draft, it's time to step back, look at the whole of what you’ve created, and make it the best it can be. There are several ways to do this, and you and your editor can select the path that will work best for you and your book.
In the pitch phase of Author Accelerator, we help you develop the tools you need to pitch to a literary editor including a book proposal, a list of five suitable agents, and a customized query letter. This phase lasts 5 to 12 weeks, depending on your genre and project, and by the end, you will have everything you need to land an agent. Note that only writers interested in traditional publishing need to take these steps. Writers seeking self-publication can go right into production.
