iPalpiti Orchestra Alumni
They're iPalpiti Artists International Star alumni, now scattered around the world as soloists, concertmasters, and orchestral and chamber players. They all have a strong attachment to iPalpiti, where they began the transition from promising to accomplished artists, and made musical friendships for a lifetime. They represent the future of classical music, and are ambassadors of iPalpiti Artists International on a continually broader scale. We are proud of our Laureate Alumni's development in the professional arena, gaining recognition as classical music's virtuosic and artistic leaders of the future. The many accomplishments of all 206 iPalpiti alumni would be too lengthy to list here. What follows is a highlighted description of some of the artists' impressive achievements to date:
- Alexandru Tomescu/Romania - invited to be a member of the jury in the 2003 Sarasate Internatinal Violin Competition in Spain, youngest ever to receive such honor. He is named a State Soloist of Romaniam, performing with National Radio Symphony and recording 4 CD annually. Winner of 28 international awards, featured in the prestigious Strad and Classica magazines. Under Valmalette Management.
- Pavel Sporcl/Czech Republic - ranks among the foremost representatives of todays young generation of violinists. A frequent guest of TV & Radio programs, he has to his credit a formidable list of CDs, including praised recording of J. Suk and Bohuslav Martinu, and albums "A Paganini" (1999) and Vivaldi/Piazzolla (2000). He has exclusive recording contract with Supraphon. In 2002, he released a multi-media CD including special bonus, a video composition "A Blue-Eyed Girl."
- Soprano LaTonia Moore/USA - is taken on two leading roles in Dresden and Houston operas, and will be featured in ElleGirl magazine.
- Valentina Lisitsa, USA/Pianist - under Columbia Artists management. Since debut in New York City with Gerard Schwarz at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall, Valentina has regularly receives critical praise for her performances and enjoying a fast growing solo career. She continues to ollaborate Lynn Harrell, Ida Haendel, Cho-Liang Lin, Vadim Repin.
- Sayako Kusaka/Japan - 1st prize winner of the 21st Radolfo Lipizer International Violin Competition, top prizes in the most prestigious competitions: Silver Medal at the Premio Paganini International Violin Competition in Italy, Third Prize at the 8th Jean Sibelius International Violin Competition in Finland. Extensive performing schedule, including 45 engagements with orchestras and recitals as a winner of the Lipizer Competition.
- Miroslava Ivanchenko/Ukraine - Concertmaster, New World Symphony, Miami.
- Josef Hovat/Slavakia - member of European Soloistes Luxemburg, Sasburger Kammer orchestra & Capella Istropolitana.
- Gabriel Bussi/Urugway and Fumika Yamamura/Japan - a first I PALPITI couple! Just married in Coruna, Spain, where both are members of Orquesta Sinfonia de Galicia.
- Marianna Racz/Netherlands - selected for chamber series "The choice of Bernard Haitink" to perform both as violinist and flautist in most famous halls of Holland. Accepted position as violinist in Concertgebouw Royal Orchestra.
- Eugenia Pikovsky/Israel - soloist, Concertmaster, Jerusalem Symphony.
- Gabor Szabo/Hungary - chamber musician, soloist. In spring 2001, Gabor was chosen as a concertmaster of the Budapest Symphony Orchestra.
- Xinlai Jiang, Hong Kong/China - principal bass, Hong Kong Philharmonic.
- Denis Ivanov-Posin/Germany - 1st violin section, National Mannheim Opera.
- Misa Yamuro/Japan - 1st violinist, Munich Philharmonic (Zubin Mehta, Director).
- Peter Danis/Slovakia - Concertmaster, Malaisia National Symphony.
- Yamei Yu/China - Concertmaster, Bavarian State Orchestra.
- Liza Kerob/France - Concertmaster, Monte Carlo Symphony.
- Peter Rainer/Germany - Concertmaster, Kammerakademie Potsdam, Germany; leader - Persius Ensemble.
- Vadim Tchijik/France - concert violinist, Prof. Paris Conservatory.
- Laura Vikman/Finland - concert violinist.
- Raushan Akhmedyarova/Kazakhstan - concert violinist, Concertmaster, New World Symphony.
- Lauraine Desgrees du Lou/France - chamber musician, 1st violinist, Paris Opera.
- Thibauld Vieux/France - Associate Concertmaster, Paris Opera, France.
- Peter Schoeman/RSA - leader, London Philharmonic.
- Qing Yung Yu/China - Associate Concertmaster, Chicago Symphony.
- Fumino Ando/Japan - violinist/violist, Portland Symphony Orchestra.
- Misha Galaganov/Israel - chamber musician, faculty TCU, Ft. Worth, Texas.
- Oleg Soulyga/Russia - violinist/violist, Moscow Virtuosi.
- Janna Dimont, Israel/Cyprus - Concertmaster, Cyprus Chamber Orchestra.
- Robert Ashworth/Canada - member, Aukland Philarmonica, New Zealand.
- Yoko Hatoyama/Japan - chamber musician.
- Alex Slobodyanik/USA - with a disc in EMI Classic's influential Debut series and a Carnegie Hall appearance under his belt, he is a seriously sought-after keyboardist. Featured in MUSO international music magazine.
- Stanislaw Drzewiecki/Poland - SONY recording artist. Triumphant debut at the Carnegie Hall in January 2003. Continuing his budding career throughout Europe with profusion.
- Pedro Carneiro/Portugal - established himself as one of the world's foremost solo percussionists, performing regularly throughout Europe, the Far East and the USA and a guest soloist with numerous orchestras. Two solo recordings will be released in 2003: "Portuguese Music for Marimba" (Deux-Elles) and "Plainspoken" on the Tejo Label. Pedro has been featured on music magazine Muso, a guide to who's hot in classical music!
- Adolfo Gutierrez Arenas/Spain - new CD on VERSO, performing solo with virtually every significant orchestra throughout Spain.
- Timo-Veikko Valve/Finland - soloist, chamber musician.
- Evgeny Sakakuschev, Bulgaria/Germany - chamber musician and a member of the cello faculty at the prestigious Kronberg Academy ("the cello capital of the world") in Germany; principal cellist, Malaga Symphony, Spain.
- Yalin Song/China - principal cellist, Memphis Symphony.
- Agnieszka Dzuibak/Poland - cellist, Boston Symphony.
- Matthew Millar/USA - cellist, Seattle Symphony.
- Eva Bindere/Estonia - Concertmaster, Kremerata Baltika.
- Emmanuel Held/Germany - 1st violin section, Dresden Staatskapella.
